Montpellier

France

Montpellier is a small city in the South of France a stones throw from the mediteranean coast. A lesser known city internationally, Montpellier is popular among the French, particularly students, who value it's anonymity, which keeps tourism to a minimum, unlike the nearby cities of Nice and Marseille. After your first week in the city you'll start to wonder why you've never heard of it before. It's full of the beautiful architecture that you would come to expect of a historic European city, and the rich history that often accompanies it. Beyond the city itself, you're in France!Β That means croissants for breakfast and afternoons sleeping off a lunch fit for Louis XIV himself!
