The rise of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and online education platforms such as Udemy, Coursera, edX, and Udacity, means that we no longer have to. 

 

Edumadic organises and leads 12 week programs around the world for carefully selected groups of online learners who want to further their education and travel the world simultaneously. Each program visits 3 different locations, spending 4 weeks in each.

 

Here's how it works:

We handpick a group of inspiring, motivated, and fun people from our pool of applicants who we'd love to spend 12 weeks travelling and learning with.

You choose an educational course, creative project, or entrepreneurial idea that you want to work on for the duration of the program. This can be anything you like, provided it can be pursued entirely online.

We arrange all accommodation, transport, giving you the freedom to focus on working towards your goals, exploring the environments you're living in, and making deep connections with your fellow Edumads.

When you find yourself in the hostel crowd (as I often did), it’s very easy to become distracted, lose motivation, and get nothing done. Edumadic provided us with everything we needed during these 12 weeks to focus on our projects and still explore amazing new landscapes. • I think it's important to mention that Zach and Marc are great to travel with and really put the icing on the cake of this experience. Things to do in Chiang Mai: Find yourself in Coffee Heaven! • Traditionally, Thai coffee has never been anything to write home about. For many years it was overshadowed by other crops (most notably opium). Due to a focused effort from the government and NGOs, Thai farmers have turned to “coffea arabica” in ever greater numbers as the cash crop of choice, the best of which fuels Chiang Mai’s booming coffee scene. • Rumor has it that there are more cafes than 7-Elevens in Chiang Mai, and as anybody who’s been to Thailand would testify, that means a heap. The city feels like a public experiment in fashioning a new coffee culture; it’s one of only a few places on earth where you have progressive roasters, baristas, coffee lovers, and cafe owners within just an hour’s drive of coffee plantations and farmers. • If you love coffee, you’ll love Chiang Mai!
Things to do in Hanoi: Understand the History. • Hanoi is the cultural capital and heart and soul of Vietnam. It’s full of historically significant landmarks, none more so than Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. Visiting this great monument to “Uncle Ho” and the number of other culturally significant museums scattered about the city will give you a true insight into the proudness of this nation which has been through so much in the not so recent past.
